Bounce Mechanics

DedcatBounce is a last-player-standing onchain game where players spend HYPE to Bounce the cat and become the leader in the game. Every player must be referred into the game and the last Bouncer of each round wins the main prize pool.

How It Works:

  • Spend $HYPE to Bounce the cat

  • Each Bounce adds $HYPE to the Kitty and resets the timer

  • When the timer hits zero the last Bouncer wins 80% of the Kitty

  • The remaining 20% is randomly distributed to 9 past Bouncers (Kitty Ticket holders)

Every Bounce:

  • Resets the timer - starts at 15 minutes, decreases as Kitty grows (min 3 minute resets)

  • Buys Kitty Tickets - entry tickets in the end of round lottery

  • Grows the Kitty - more Bounces, bigger prize pool

  • Unlocks referral codes - bring others in, earn $HYPE when they Bounce

Minimum Cost to Bounce:

$5 USD in $HYPE or 1% of the Kitty, whichever is greater.

  • Cost determined at the start of each round using Hyperliquid's oracle to query the HYPE/USD price.

Example: If HYPE = $44, minimum cost = 0.12 $HYPE ($5 / $44 = 0.1136, rounded to 0.12)

How Bounce Volume Distributes:

  1. 82% to the Kitty

  2. 13% to Bounce Cabals (referrals)

  3. 5% to $DEDCAT stakers

  4. 0% to Team

How to Win:

  • As the Kitty grows, the Bounce cost rises, as does the risk

  • Inevitably, the timer will hit zero and the round will end

  • Last Bouncer before the timer runs out wins 80% of the Kitty

  • 9 random Kitty Ticket holders split 18% of the Kitty

    • 2% of the Kitty Lottery Pool is rolled into the Main Pool of following game (big blind)

Reviving Dedcat (starting a new round)

  • Anyone can trigger a restart by click to Revive Dedcat

  • A minimal cost is required, typically less than 1 cent in HYPE

  • 10% of the Kitty Lottery Pool from the previous round will seed the Main Pool in the new round

  • Player rewards from previous game (main pool and kitty lottery winnings) will be claimable when Dedcat is revived and a new round begins
